“Caron’s View” is a 24X36 inch acrylic painting of the South Saskatchewan River, as viewed from the Caron family’s River lot at Batoche, where the Caron House still stands today. This piece was featured in my BFA show “Alice”. The Caron home is an iconic symbol of Métis resilience, and I have a special connection as my great grandmother Evelyn was the last generation to grow up in the house! This piece was created with artist grade acrylic paint on gallery wrapped canvas, in my home studio in North Battleford, SK.
