This is a very special painting inspired the pride ribbon skirt collection as it is the only one made in collaboration with another artist! Light of a Lotus, another queer Saskatchewan based artist designed the floral pattern “fabric” if you will, and I build the skirt design on top of it! The ribbons represent the bisexual flag, and the animals I chose are animals that frequently show up in Lotus’ work representing care and displacement, and I thought using them would help bridge our artistic worlds together. This one was created with acrylic paint, paint markers, glitter topcoat, and acryla-gouache on a wooden panel that measures 13X16 inches. The board is equipped with a sawtooth hanger making it ready to hang.
